Summary: A 28-year-old man died after a freight truck struck him while he was rollerblading in Ajax, Ontario. Durham Regional Police said the 2027 Freightliner was exiting the westbound Highway 401 off-ramp at Salem Road, turned right, and hit the pedestrian near Salem Road and Chambers Drive. Collision investigators attended and police shut down the roadway for several hours to collect evidence.
