Summary: A clinical trial of more than 1,100 patients found an experimental mRNA drug, intismeran autogene, delivered with an immunotherapy treatment could prevent melanoma from returning. The approach, using mRNA technology similar to Moderna and Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccines, also prevented the cancer from spreading to other organs.
