Lakeland Man Arrested After Saying He’d Surrender

A 67-year-old Lakeland man wanted on an active felony warrant was arrested Thursday afternoon in Polk County after telling a deputy by phone he would turn himself in on Monday. Deputies went to a Sandra Way home around 3 p.m. Aug. 20, took him into custody when he tried to leave, and booked him at the Sheriff’s Processing Center.
