Summary: A late-night crash on Interstate 40 West left no injuries early Thursday morning, according to a preliminary Tennessee Highway Patrol report released today. On Aug. 21, 2026, a Ford Escape struck the rear of a parked commercial semi near the 323-mile marker, overturning the truck and blocking Lane 1.
