A Nepali labourer, Bibek Kumal, survived a deadly flash flood on Aug 26 while digging a toilet pit outside a newly built house in Bidur. He heard a hissing sound, ran as a wall of water, mud and rock swept him away, and reached safety as his four co-workers fled.
