US Navy seeks specs for carrier-based CCA prototypes

Summary: The U.S. Navy released an Aug. 31 Request for Information outlining new specifications for its future carrier-based Combat Collaborative Aircraft (CCA). The RFI says the CCA should carry up to 5 tons of weapons, cost no more than $30 million per unit, and demonstrate a maximum combat radius with weapons loadout, 30 minutes on-station, and reserve fuel for recovery.
