Argentina charges two ex-officials over tainted fentanyl

A judge charged former medical officials Nélida Bisio and Gabriela Mantecón Fumadó over an alleged contaminated fentanyl case linked to at least 90 deaths in 2025. The ruling said they were “necessary participants” in the adulteration after bacteria were found in fentanyl vials and in infected patients at a La Plata hospital.
