Summary: Monroe County Sheriff Rick Ramsay announced investigators have identified the man responsible for the 1973 double murder of New Jersey sisters Marguerite “Maggie” Jenkins and Mary Jenkins in the Florida Keys. The suspect was identified as David Allen Snyder, formerly of Key West, who died in 2008. The case was advanced using forensic genetic genealogy after new DNA markers were developed in 2018 from a partial male DNA profile.
