Robyn Lichter, testifying at the Khampepe Commission of Inquiry, said the 1967 Springbok Flight 406 crash off Kayser’s Beach “wiped out” Professor Johannes Petrus van Schalkwyk Bruwer, whom she said could have altered South Africa’s history. She also told the panel she wants to share families’ account of a state “cover-up” and investigations influenced or halted.
