Summary: Russia’s rebuilt Kirov-class battlecruiser Admiral Nakhimov, commissioned in 1986 and sent to the yard at Severodvinsk in 1999, came out of repair in 2025 after a prolonged overhaul. The modernization replaces the ship’s original P-700 Granit missiles with up to 80 new vertical launch cells for missiles including P-800 Oniks, Kalibr, and 3M22 Zircon, plus 96 long-range surface-to-air rounds and Pantsir-M close-in defense.
