Joint Base Andrews received its first HH-60W Jolly Green II on Monday, beginning a transition from its 26 aging UH-1N Hueys. The helicopter was flown from Sikorsky’s plant in Connecticut by a member of the newly activated 5th Helicopter Squadron. The 26 HH-60Ws will replace the Hueys, which have supported contingency operations at Andrews for about 60 years.
