Summary: Researchers identified a previously unknown wild feline in Bolivia’s Yungas cloud forest, naming it as a new species for the first time in more than a century. The small cat, called tilcayo by local communities, is about 46 cm long and weighs around 3 kg, and belongs to the tiger cat group found across South America.
