Tanker hit by projectiles off Qatar; casualties reported

The UK Maritime Trade Operations agency said a tanker was struck by multiple projectiles 51 nautical miles north of Madinat al-Shamal, Qatar, and casualties were reported. Maritime intelligence firm Vanguard identified the vessel as the Antigua and Barbuda-flagged oil and chemical tanker Acers, which was laden with cargo and sailing toward the Strait of Hormuz.
