Lake Mead barrel victim identified as Edward Jackson

Clark County Coroner Melanie Rouse said Thursday that investigators identified the man whose remains were found in a barrel at Lake Mead in May 2022 as Edward Jackson. He had a gunshot wound and is believed to have been killed in the early 1980s. Police Lt. Robert Price said investigators have no information supporting speculation that the killing was a mob hit.
